Our Foundation
NM-ICPS TiHAN Foundation is a Section 8 company established at IIT Hyderabad under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS), funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. TiHAN focuses on Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems (e.g., UAVs, ROVs), and serves as a premier Technology Innovation Hub in this domain.
As a key initiative under NM-ICPS—a pan-India mission integrating Central Ministries, State Governments, Industry, and Academia—TiHAN is designed to drive technological innovation and skill development across sectors including health, education, energy, environment, agriculture, national security, Industry 4.0, Smart Cities, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
TiHAN promotes advanced skill-building and supports the growth of start-ups and entrepreneurs in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and allied areas, creating industry-relevant job opportunities. The Hub also acts as a knowledge and technology resource for government bodies and industries, enabling effective adoption of CPS technologies in core missions and programs for societal benefit.
TiHAN is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
