Eligibility
- B.Tech/ B.E - Mechanical / Automotive Engineering- minimum of
60% marks with 1-5 years of experience in relevant areas
- Experience in workshops, OEM service, or R&D testing preferred
- EV/hybrid vehicle knowledge is an added advantage
Desired Experience in:
- Collaborate with the R&D team and technicians to design and implement new system processes at the testbed.
- Perform quality and performance analysis on both new and legacy IT systems.
- Summarize data insights and prepare detailed reports on test results.
- Assess requirements for new equipment, estimate costs, and support budget preparation.
- Monitor testbed maintenance and inspection plans on a regular basis.
- Vehicle Dynamics: Conduct ride comfort, handling, stability analysis, and dynamics testing.
- Steering Systems: Perform EPS diagnostics, alignment checks, tie-rod inspection, and steering geometry adjustments (caster, camber, toe).
- Suspension Systems: Work with MacPherson strut, multi-link, wishbone systems; evaluate shock absorbers; inspect bushings and suspension arms.
- Braking Systems: Carry out disc/drum brake servicing, brake bleeding, pad/disc replacement, and ABS/ESC/EBD testing & calibration.
- Traction & Stability Control: Understand TCS and ESC logic, yaw rate control; inspect sensors including yaw, steering angle, and wheel speed.
- Diagnostics: Use OBD-II scanners and CAN tools for fault identification and sensor calibration.
- Workshop Expertise: Perform preventive & corrective maintenance, alignment, wheel balancing, and NVH troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Drive-by-Wire (DBW) systems including throttle, brake, steering, and gear actuation.
- Experience in setting up and configuring Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms.
- Familiarity with sensors, ECUs, wiring harnesses, and vehicle-level testing.
- Knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS), cell balancing, SOC/SOH estimation, and EV high-voltage/low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-road and proving-ground vehicle dynamics testing, including braking, handling, and stability assessments.
- Inspect, calibrate, and repair steering and suspension systems.
- Evaluate and service braking systems, including ABS/ESC diagnostics and sensor inspections.
- Perform wheel alignment, caster/camber adjustments, and analyze tire wear patterns.
- Use OBD tools, CAN analyzers, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot vehicle faults.
- Document all findings through comprehensive technical service reports.
- Coordinate with R&D teams to support validation, calibration, and enhancement of vehicle systems.
- Ensure adherence to vehicle safety, maintenance protocols, and industry standards.
