Assistant Hub Operating Officer

Essential Qualification

• First class in Bachelor's Engineering Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institute of repute.
• Master's degree from a recognized university/institute of repute with a good track record.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of working experience in the technology business sector.
• At least 4 years of experience in a Techno-Managerial Role.

Age Limit

Up to 40 Years

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the operations and oversee the activities and overall administration of the hub while maintaining internal liaison with IIT Hyderabad faculty and external liaison with industry, financial entities, R&D organizations (both public and private), and various stakeholders of the Hub.
• Knowledge of HR, Procurement, and Finance.
• Develop, design, and deliver various schemes according to the HUB objectives.
• Coordinate the partnership between Hub and IIT Hyderabad and between internal departments by leveraging the resources of the host organization for the benefit of the program and to facilitate effective communication and task execution.
• Plan and execute events related to research and startup funding, investment, mentoring, workshops, training programs, etc.
• Provide continued strategic execution of R&D and facilities development.
• Focus on research translation and commercialization activities.
• Handle administrative tasks such as preparing reports and managing schedules.
• Manage resources, like time, budget, and inventory to support operational needs.
• Forge partnerships with other organizations for promoting hub services and revenue-generation mechanisms.
• Monitor and implement required statutory norms for grants management and legal compliance of the Hub.
• Represent the Hub at various events, conferences, etc.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, public speaking, and written communication skills.
• Event Management Skills.
• Prior experience in R&D portfolio management.
• Effective and strong network building capabilities to establish relationships with various stakeholders and partner organizations.
• Good understanding of the Industry-Academia ecosystem.
• Ability to lead the team and execute projects and R&D work groups.
• Should be willing to travel.
